The subject is changed
to one much lighter, namely the bands attitude to their on stage
dress sense.
"I think we kind of dress quite smartly on stage. It's
not like a uniform or anything. When we first started we were
very much into being incredibly smart, rather than having to
think about what to wear. It was just, "Wear your smart
clothes". It wasn't a play on, we still do it but at the
same time I suppose after we came about, perhaps a few more
bands started to put on a tie but then it gets boring and you
go and do something else. So I'm wearing waistcoats," he
says jokingly.
It's noted that Barry has a bit of a Morrisey look going on
with his hair.
"I've been going to barbers instead of going to the hairdressers,"
he begins laughing. "I like the gentlemen's haircut, the
classic short back and sides."
Along with the hot towel and shave?
"I go to a Turkish barbers, they do that but I'm scared
of them. They put a towel on your face and hold a blade over
your neck. It's something I wouldn’t want to experience,
especially with 'Sweeney Todd' on at the moment. It's just asking
for trouble," he explains laughing loudly.
So all in all it's looking like it will be a positive and happy
year for the band.
"Yeah it's grand," he says smiling. "Things couldn't
be any better. Things are going really well. We were on ITV
News the other night. They played a bit of our video and interviewed
us about this stuff that is going on online and legislation
that the government are thinking putting in place and illegal
downloads."
ITV News, that is a bit different. >> |
